Maria-Elena Doyle
Maria-Elena is an award winning film director, designer/digital animator.
Of Spanish-Irish descent, Maria-Elena Doyle graduated with a degree in visual communication from the National College of Art and Design Dublin, Ireland.
Maria-Elena started her career as a motion graphics artist working for 7 years in Irish television.
In 2006 Maria-Elena was inspired to make her first short film, RAIN which received the Atlantis award for best foreign animation at the Moondance International Film Festival LA 2007.
In 2011 Maria-Elena received an AFTA award for her second short film Meniscus funded by the independent film-makers fund.
Meniscus has screened in festivals throughout the world, and was the first kiwi film selected for the official competition at Annecy International animation festival 2011.
